Gursharn Sandhu (Sandy) wishes to express his happiness of serving this great company of 40 years, which has been great part of my life.
Some words from Kenny
Before I get into Sandra speech I would like to say a few kind words from myself, I have known Sandra for 19 years and she has been a mentor , a mother and a really good friend to me, as the years passed by our friendship have grown from strength to strength I personally will miss you.
Some words from Sandra
As this is a very emotional time for me I would like to thank everyone for all your support during my very hard times with my illness and the sad passing of my husband, without the good people around me I don't know what I would of done, all of you have been like a family to me especially Kenny and Graham.
I have laughed I have cried, and now I don't know what I'm going to do without all off you, young and old I have loved all off you and now this is the end of the road.
I have enjoyed my 19 years at Microtech
Retirement! I can't quite believe that it is happening to me.
You always seem to think of retirement as something way ahead of you; something that is still a long way off. Well, it has a way of sneaking up on you. And here I am ... poised on the brink of my own retirement.
But just as much as my retirement brings with it anticipation for the future; it is also a time to reflect on the past and perhaps a moment that brings with it echoes from the past and our years together.
So many of my memories at Microtech have been the best.
I am, and will always be grateful for the invisible, yet ever present support and friendship that I have been fortunate to share with so many colleagues.
I’ve had some really good moments throughout the years, my coffee break chats; working together to meet an important deadline (Not as fast nowadays ) sharing a birthday cake or celebrating in the news of a christening, a birthday or a wedding - these are the moments that I will miss the most - these are the intangible everyday magical moments that define the special people who make Microtech
May the company and all of you go from strength to strength.
Thank you once again for all your love and support you have given me.

On Friday the 16th September, in the early hours of the morning, the torrential rain flooded the carpark at the back of the building and breached the flood defences. The shopfloor was flooded with 4" of water, which had to be bailed out be production staff when they arrived in the morning.
We have closed the factory from 13:00 on Friday to allow the floors and carpets to dry out over the weekend.
We will be open again for business as usual on Monday the 19th September.
